Pelvic Health Physiotherapy is covered as physiotherapy under most health insurance providers. Your treatment may be partially or fully covered if you have extended health benefits. It is always best to confirm with your provider.
Please note that for payment, all major credit cards, cash and personal cheques are accepted.
What'll to expect from our first Virtual Visit :
We typically spend 40min on the verbal intake. It's extensive and long. The Pelvic Floor Muscles supports the entire bladder system, reproductive system and digestive system, and is closely linked to the nervous system. I will likely asks questions related to sexual, obstetric, urinary, gynecological and digestive history. The psychological health can greatly influence and impact the recovery of physical injury, and you may be asks questions related to perception of pain, emotional burden of pain and your mental load.
I like to allow 20min to the movement examination/assessment. It will be performed by asking to do different movements on video. This evaluation can assess muscle tone, length, strength, endurance, and function of the different region of the body.
Follow up sessions will be focused on given information on our current understanding of pain and pelvic health; bladder training; posture and alignment; lifting and carrying techniques that alleviates pressure off the passive pelvic structures; exercises to coordinate, stretch and strengthened the diaphragm, pelvic floor muscles, transverse abdominus, and multifidis to stabilize the pelvis through movements; breathing techniques.
I understand I can give or revoke consent at any point in time to a specific aspect(s) of the assessment or treatment - within a session, and/or once the care plan has started.
